NH Senate Vote: Special Officiants

NH Senate Votes on HB295

May 23rd’s Senate hearing was continued to May 30, 2019. At that time, the bill came before the full Senate for a roll call vote. No public testimony was heard.  Throughout the session, it was an uphill battle. At the Senate’s Judicial Committee hearing on April 23, the bill passed 3-2 on a party line vote. The committee then released its report, stating that HB295 “ought to pass with amendment”.

Unfazed, forty-three JPs and JPus members signed onto JPus’ written statement (below) that asked the senators to vote No. In addition to submitting the statement to the Senate to be part of the record, JPus also emailed each senator a copy.
